Concrete milling, also known as cold planing, asphalt milling, or profiling is the process of removing part of the surface of a paved area such as a road, bridge, or parking lot. Milling removes anywhere from just the surface of damaged pavement or up to several inches of pavement for overlays or leveling of heaved or sunken areas due to frost or settling subgrade.
